   Maybe if I try real hard I can smell the sea when its low!

   Fall is in the air! Brown and yellow green. Great palette

      We live only a 10 minute drive from the Atlantic here in Massachusetts but even that is a far cry from living right on the water, being in tune with the tides and the everchanging palette and texture of the water 24/7. The home we rented on Whidbey was on fascinating very narrow road with houses right at water’s edge and very friable ledge/cliffs directly behind them.

      Thanks for your thumbs up to the palette in this color swatch. I enjoyed playing with the end-of-season muted colors.

      Thanks, MaryAnn! I do love the way writing a simple little poem and painting sweet color swatches strengthen the embodied memories of our waterfront sanctuary.

      That photograph of the view captures the feeling I had many times while in residence at that home of being a passenger in an ocean liner leaning against the railing on deck!

      Totally awesome deck on that could-we-be-any-closer-to-the-water rental, gotta say.

      Chuckling at your reference to the “Easter egg hunt of finding”—A+! Fun to know that you had to hunt for the green and had fun doing so.
