Climbed up one of them thar hills today, step by step by step, hour after hour, and then found our achin’-muscles-watch-out-for-acorns-and-loose-rocks-and-horse-dung way back down ag’in.
Gonna sleep well tonight, I tell you what!

I have trouble walking on acorns on flat land….well done getting up and down a hill. I hope you continue to find joy and beauty in all the hours and steps to come. The paintings are a delight!

MaryAnn, LOL at your walking-on-acorns observation! You may have noticed trekking poles in one of my hashtags—makes a big difference to have more ‘feet’ on the ground : )
So much joy and beauty as we hike, sit fireside, prep simple meals, enjoy each other’s company, and take in the magnificence of so much quiet.
Glad my painting sketches are delighting you!

In 2014, I grab an unexpected opportunity to paint.
To make art.
I get hooked.
In 2015 I start a blog—a diary of my life as an artist.
I post my paintings and their stories. The good, the bad, the ugly.
My compass points: bust through fear, be playful, get messy, trust my gut.
