Nicholas Wilton Free Workshop, post #6

The final pre-workshop countdown prompt: #1 What is the biggest, best possible dream of my art / life that I’m willing to say out loud?

My free-association biggest, best possible dream for spring 2024:

• Have fun!
• Get messy!
• Paint every day!
• Be open to surprise!
• Connect with others!
• Say hello to I don’t know!

• NOW SEE HERE!

With my first workshop exercise, I took Nicholas Wilton at his word to just play, to just keeping putting paint and marks on the page.

Felt great!

Plus, I made an image transfer for the first time since my like-wow college days. It allowed me to take the word LESSONS and infuse it into this piece.

My Story

In 2014, I grab an unexpected opportunity to paint.

To make art.

I get hooked.

In 2015 I start a blog—a diary of my life as an artist.

I post my paintings and their stories. The good, the bad, the ugly.

My compass points: bust through fear, be playful, get messy, trust my gut.
