Lost & Found

Whew! Inspiration eventually knocked at my door, asking to help reclaim the shapes that got lost in the visually confusing rickety-house CutUp I started and then set aside last week.

Veiling and glazing, a few new elements, and touches of ink outlines joined forces in a dance of subtraction and addition that prompted the previously obscured shapes to give me a hug.

    1. I like your take on this, Sheila. Perfectly perky!

    1. Agreed! Funny thing is it was in the earlier version but not able to do the work it wanted to do. Love how it came into its own; love that you shone light (!) on its strength : )

I knew you’d find your way with this one! How delightful is the dance of addition and subtraction! Bravo!

    1. Thanks, MaryAnn! It WAS a dance, and mostly delightful. I was pleased to reach a point of resolution.

My Story

In 2014, I grab an unexpected opportunity to paint.

To make art.

I get hooked.

In 2015 I start a blog—a diary of my life as an artist.

I post my paintings and their stories. The good, the bad, the ugly.

My compass points: bust through fear, be playful, get messy, trust my gut.
