Wrapping up Christmas 2023

As I scroll through iPhoto thumbnail images on my phone, evidence of further adventures in painting Christmas giftwrap catches my attention. Not sure why I didn’t post at the time—since our celebration of the holidays didn’t spiral out of control, I don’t have that as an excuse!

In any case, here I am to post now in January.

I loved seeing these fabulous spirals back in December….and am still smitten! They’re like swirls of fiber optic light.

    1. LOLAM—laughing out loud at myself reposting these spirals. Couldn’t locate them in my blog history when I went searching yesterday, even though I was pretty sure I’d posted them in December. And, indeed, I had! I see now how I missed them—the spirals were not featured as the lead photo in the post, so they were ‘masked’ by a different photo in the archived listing where I went searching. Long story short, although I may not have spiraled out of control in December, it appears that I was spiraling a bit in lala land yesterday 🙂.

Thanks for being smitten both times, MaryAnn!

My Story

In 2014, I grab an unexpected opportunity to paint.

To make art.

I get hooked.

In 2015 I start a blog—a diary of my life as an artist.

I post my paintings and their stories. The good, the bad, the ugly.

My compass points: bust through fear, be playful, get messy, trust my gut.
