Pop-Up Studio

So much gratitude and such a wrap-around internal smile for my little pop-up vacation studio! It all fit inside a pillowcase—a cafeteria tray, sitting on the tray a two-pocket folder of paper, and set on top of the folder a plastic bin with the rest of my selected supplies.

Ta da!

that’s brilliant! All the impediments to creating are GONE with a pop-up studio!

    1. As is often the case with vacations, the prep details can be considerable … but are SOOOO worth the effort. I never regret putting together a pop-up studio and putting it to good use : )

I absolutely love that you shared a visual of your little studio. It’s perfectly imperfect! Modestly marvelous! And fabulously functional!

    1. It turned out to be just that! It was a sweet, spare, workable space, with windows looking out to capacious wilderness.

My Story

In 2014, I grab an unexpected opportunity to paint.

To make art.

I get hooked.

In 2015 I start a blog—a diary of my creative practice.

I post my paintings and their stories. The good, the bad, the ugly.

In 2025 I begin writing poetry and include a poem and painting in each post.

My compass points: shake hands with fear, be playful, get messy, trust my gut.
